Igesund Enterprise Software (IES) was founded by MSc Lars Ivar Igesund in April 2006, with the first contract being signed at the same time. The company, situated in Trondheim, Norway, provides consulting and software development services, both at a programming and project lead level.
The first three years of operation has seen work on test frameworks for German car industry, textile logistics systems using RFID, business process analysis tools, mobile traffic switching software, fat/web-client-server solutions for geo tracking and integration work on aviation/space certified solutions, using D, Java, Python and C++ programming languages.
People
Lars Ivar Igesund graduated from NTNU in 2003, with a Master of Science degree (Sivilingeniør). During the first years after graduation, he worked with various system administration and support tasks. In addition an interest in the D programming language and related projects was nurtured. After founding IES, Lars Ivar also joined the project lead of Tango, an open source standard library for the D programming language. He is also a contributor to DDBI and co-authored the first English book, Learn to Tango with D, on the D programming language.

As a small company, IES partners up with well established consulting houses when needed. In addition, IES is a partner for European clients of QuantumXML, a provider of extreme processing power for XML.
